The Homestead offers a welcoming space to relax, unwind and enjoy the ever-present theatre of the African bush. From the comfort of the Lodge, guests can watch plains game gathering for their midday rest, or enjoy the entertaining sight of warthogs grazing on their knees across the lawn—a daily spectacle that requires no invitation.
The dining and lounge area has a fresh water cooler as well as a permanent tea and coffee station, with homemade biscuits and freshly baked cake available throughout the day. A small library of books and selection of games provide a quiet way to while away a few hours between activities. On those rare days when the weather keeps you indoors, the Homestead also provides an alternative dining space.
Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, allowing guests to stay connected while enjoying the tranquillity of their surroundings.
The pool deck is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the ever-changing views across the valley. Start the day with an early morning coffee before heading out on your first game drive or return afterwards for a refreshing swim and some quiet time in the warmth of the day.
For a more leisurely evening, the pool deck also offers a beautiful alternative for a sundowner before making your way up to the Lapa for dinner, where the evening continues around the warmth of the fire.
The Lapa is a warm and memorable setting in which to experience the true pleasure of being in the bush. Here, evenings begin around the fire after a day in the bush. A welcoming place to gather, share stories of the day’s sightings and relax with friends.
Beneath brilliant stars and in the absence of light pollution, the sounds of the wilderness become part of the evening, from distant calls to the rustle of unseen creatures. Whether enjoying a traditional South African dinner or a relaxed braai prepared by our chef, time spent in the Lapa is about good food, warm company and the simple pleasure of being immersed in the quiet beauty of the African night.
